Since I launched my first personal website in 2001, once a year, like clockwork, I find myself looking at my pages and thinking
oh crap, time for an overhaul.
The problem is, everyone else's sites just keep getting better looking.
Hey everyone. Slow down. I'm not a professional designer by any means. I don't have time to keep redoing this stuff, just so that I can be halfway as swishy or feature-rich as you all! (You know the culprits [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]).
Anyway, I've started reworking my CSS, rethinking my cranky menu system, considering some JavaScript animation using my animation engine, looking at textpattern, etc. It's gonna take time.
Til then, inspired by metamerist's great images, I've decided to start a series of posts showing photos from that rather large box of images I've taken over the years.
Maybe if people spend more time looking at images, they'll slow down a fraction, and I'll have time to catch up!

Thank you! I do feel compelled to give an inspirational hat tip of my own to Jeremy Hedley's blog at antipixel.com.
