I was woken up this morning at 4.30am by a crowd of people leaving Capitale, an events club down the road from me. I went outside. The street was humming with an unfriendly vibe. I came home and called 311.
Moments later I heard what sounded like six gunshots. It was terrifying. We called 911 and the police came quickly, and by 5.00am the streets were deserted.
I called the Capitale phone and was told that there had been a party for "Stroke of Genius", but I don't know who that is.
[Followup: There was nothing on the police blotter, so I assume that nobody was hurt]
