I saw a couple of his images at the New Museum in Chelsea. It's some of the best work I've seen this year. It has everything. The image I loved most is unfortunately not on the web.
The use of chalk lines relates the work to lines and drawing, and the work really comes to life in the illusion of the photograph. There's a great play between "real" and "virtual". Using a sequence of images references film, animation and story. The story here is a South African boy outdoors, playing basketball, doing tricks on skateboards, sitting on benches… so there is a strong link to graffiti. And the back story adds a powerful extra note. Oh, I could go on...
