Do you have four minutes for an art experience?
This is a web-based performance of 4'33", a piece of music composed by John Cage, performed tacit (i.e. in silence). This instance is 4'04" long.
To start, click "Start Now". A blank window will appear. After exactly four minutes and four seconds, a link will appear in the window saying "Finished". Clicking on this completes your participation in the performance.
Afterwards, you'll be taken to a comments page where you can give feedback and also collect a "virtual ticket". Please take the opportunity to share your experiences/comments/reactions.
For the duration of this performance, we ask that you act as you would at any live performance. Please turn off mobile phones and stop working for a few minutes...
